TamilNadu e-Governance

For the people of TamilNadu

Today i explored the State of TamilNadu website. Wow! Superb!! Excellent!!! Good work!!!!. They have modified the site recently and updated with more information. The newly designed site nails down all the information in each and every corner of the state. It was really nice to see so much information available in the government site.

The site Provides information about Governor, Chief Minster, Council of ministers, Chief Justice, MP's, MLA’s, Chief Secretariats, District Collectors, all Department and District wise information. It also provides map information about entire TamilNadu like Districts, Revenue Divisions, Taluks, Blocks, Corporation & Municipalities, Town Panchayats, Revenue Villages and Panchayat Villages. It provides the day to day information about the Government Orders, Budget, Announcements, Census, RTI Manuals, etc. It also provides information about the schemes, Tenders, contacts and important links for the government.

The best part of the site, it hasn’t stopped by only providing information. It also provides e-services for the public where you can easily download all the government related forms (Community Certificate, Legal Heir Certificate, Income Certificate, Nativity Certificate and Residential Certificate) from the website. You can pay online for certain departments. Online booking for TamilNadu hotels, Employment exchange renewal can be done online, TamilNadu Electricity online payment and bill status for other districts, Revenue Department services and online payment for some districts regarding water tax, electricity, property and professional tax.

You can also register the grievances against the departments like District Administration, Corporation of Chennai, Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department, Police Department, Regional Transport Offices (RTO’s), TamilNadu Co-operative Milk Producers Federation (Aavin), TamilNadu Electricity Board (TNEB). Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board.

I welcome and appreciate the work of TamilNadu government especially the Stalin ministry is doing good well by putting various ideas and many projects in place. Definitely they not going to stop here and there are many more work to come in the coming months. Now the government has to make sure all the information they provided in the site has reached the public.

I guess you will be interested in exploring the site now. Check it out at http://www.tn.gov.in
